THE JAGUAR
A jaguar is a symbol of courage, strength, shrewdness and intelligence. This animal can both frighten and evoke a lot of respect. The same happens in the process of change with Coaching. Our first reflex is to wonder, because we are invited to make plans, think about our goals and about who we are. When we see a jaguar, the first reflex is usually to think up an escape strategy. A jaguar also symbolizes the difficulty of people in dealing with the forces of nature, which are also within themselves such as their instincts and aggressiveness. People commonly move away from this side in order to strengthen their human identity, and forget to design their lives in communion with nature. However, if you accept the challenge of living with the JAGUAR WITHIN you, you will eventually acquire self-respect. Those who can face this jaguar will acquire the status of warriors. For this company, this animal symbolizes observation and accuracy. It is the symbol of our constant quest for strength, initiative, speed, grace, leadership and courage.
THE NAME HIGH RISE® – LIFE COACHING
I named this process HIGH RISE® because of my experience in a building called “Aurora” (see photo), in Brisbane, Australia in 2006. This building has 64 floors and I lived on the 60th floor. I had an absolutely astonishing view from there. I was even able to see Gold Coast – a city almost 100 km far from Brisbane. Every bridge, every river, lighted streets… from there I could see every bend of the city. From up there, I was able to see which paths I would take in the moment of going down. During that time of great personal and emotional transformation, I realized that any process of change needs planning and a privileged view so as to accelerate the rise towards a higher and broader view. When we look at how our lives can be, we find motivation to evolve in the construction of every floor, with very solid bases. Today I see that having that view from the 60th floor made me understand the need for urgent construction of every floor of my life. INVENTORY – BIOGRAPHY BOOK
The word ‘inventory’ comes from Medieval Latin ‘inventarium’ which means a detailed list, report, or record of things in one´s possession. In our company, the Coachee creates his or her inventory – a book where they can register their potentials, strengths, talents and mission of life. It is the most important document to record your goals, a bedside book which can help the Inventory Owner in decision-making moments. It is a part of the building process. It is a written and detailed project of life. It is where the Coachee can find all tools available to help him or her achieve their dreams.
THE COMPASS
The maximum symbol of guidance. It is considered to be the most well-known instrument of “Discoveries”. For this company, a compass symbolizes goal, permanent north, focus, direction and reference. Since it is a small object that fits your hand, it intends to represent control over the direction, and responsibility over the Route.
THE PEN
It is a symbol of registering, and strength of writing. For us, it is a symbol of the birth of biography, the beginning of materialization of goals, dreams, views and accomplishments.
THE BRIEFCASE
When we travel we take references with us. All that is history leaves a register; wherever we are it is essential to remember where we came from. However, at every stop it is important to empty your suitcase and prepare it again with all that still makes sense taking to the next destination. The briefcase is a symbol of memories and material detachment; it belongs only to those who know their next destination.
THE DIAMOND HEART
Diamond is the hardest naturally occurring material, but it is also fragile. These two characteristics demand respect. For this company, the diamond heart is the permanent remembering that each one of us is owner of a powerful and strong heart, and our mission is to discover the value of its jewel. It is also a symbol of love and of my working with Coaching as a means of self-realization and mission of life. (Vanessa TobiasAL)
